Predator 2 Smart Disc Has Teeth

I don't know if anyone has ever noted this before, but screencaps from the Blu-ray disc of Predator 2 show teeth on the smart disc during the net-cutting scene on the ship. Is this a new discovery, or has someone else brought it up?

I've noticed this too on the DVD version. Guess it's just a quick modification the crew made so that the disc could cut through the net. I doubt they intended for us to tell that there were teeth added for practical reasons, but no one's perfect.

If you watch the special features at the end of the Predator 2 Special Edition, you'll listen to John Rosengrant explain what you're seeing. They used scalpel blades (attached as you see) to cut through the netting.
