Predator 2 mask from HCG arrived!:-)

At first thanks for the great pics.
But I think its a visual illusion with the nose.On my frontpic you can see,that the upper nose down-grade is the same on both masks.The only thing I can see is a differnt curved sanding(nosebridge and upper sites)on the top of the heromasks nose.But there is no more material on it..in my opinion.

Check out these screen grabs of the hero helmet. I think its clear that the nose is higher on the hero than the stunt. The higher nose bridge gives the helmet a more meaner, frowning look to it:

And thats just one of the many differences. The stunt didn't have a bottom to the chin either like the hero. Any stunt replica you see with the bottom to the chin with the air holes is wrong.
Its the same thing with the predator 1 helmet. The hero P1 version is physically different to the stunt P1.

I think its wrong to look at the front of the nose in this position alone..look at the curved lines(red and black) and the little sight between the eyes(yellow)..all the same dimensions like the stunt.
And on this pic you can wonderfull see,how long the downgrade is between the front nose and the visor.When the nose was so much higher,the downgrade would be a lot more flat.
And thats in fact,why both masks are looking so similar from the front,when you take a photo in the exact same position:

If you can't see the differences, then there is nothing i can do.
I'm sorry, but the stunt replica only matches the predator mask on the roof of the subway train and no other mask in the film.
Again we are only talking about one of the differences here, the nose bridge. As the brow is so different, the whole texture is different and the fact that one has a large base to the chin and the other does not, i can't see how you can think the stunt is just a softer pull. BTW, how do you get a softer pull from a silicone mold?

They built two full suits for the main Predator in Predator 2. One sculpt to fit the 7' tall Kevin Peter Hall, and another full sculpt for the "normal sized" stunt guys. The stunt suit molds were also used to create all the Predators on the ship at the end of the movie (again, for normal sized guys) except for the Elder suit (also played by Kevin Peter Hall), in which they used the hero suit molds from Predator 1, with Predator 2 hands and feet and a modified Predator 1 mask.
Yes, the did make stunt and hero Predator 2 helmets and yes some of the details are different.

I say most def that's a p2 helmet....wait let me look again.....YUP!!! it is
snazzy looking lid there....the weathering looks cool,....
i've not been one for the nitty gritty details of super detailed accuracy of pred items.
it looks good, enjoy it. if you want to wear it ...again enjoy it.

Thats interesting..thanks for the infos.I think they made the P2 Build(the stunt) and updated it for Halls size.The shape is to similar at the front for a complete new sculpt.If thats the truth,the heromask is really a little bit bigger in dimension..so they could made the moutharea a little bit bigger to match the complete overall size.But nobody can securely say,how big it relly was.It is possible,that the stunt is really smaller as the hero..but how much?Thats the point..and the forever secret..because the hero ist lost.
But its a moot point to dispute about a lost mask.The only screenused mask is the stunt..or somebody founds the lost hero.
But when "Keith" makes a awesome Heromask,I would buy it too...no problem.He used the stuntbase..so I think the mask can look relly good.
@kit hunter 1: Yes..thats the point.Preds are hunter..and their mask are brother in arms..so with every battle,the mask is looking differnt..haha.
