So, I managed to pick up a cheap, slightly damaged cast of a P2 helmet a few days ago. I decided I'd have a go at repairing it, and then refinishing it. Here's what happened...
Day 1 - it arrives.
Oh dear, it isn't looking good. Still, worse has been salvaged...although not by me. I set to work filling, sanding, filling again...
And a few days later, and several coats of paint, this is what I have:
I've been looking at it, and can't quite decide if I think it's a little dark or not, or if it more or less matches the movie prop. There's a little green wash on there, although it's pretty much disappeared in the pics.
Would love to get a critique on it!
