PREDATOR 2.0

OK, i did the whole texture on the back of the head and the neck... then i decided to scrape it all off cuz i didnt like it. I re-did the neck and the back of the head and i would like to see what everyone thinks about it. Do you think its to much? too busy? Well its getting closer, just alot of clean up and refining, and the right side still has the old texture, gotta redo that.

Hmmm....see now there's a major problem with the neck area behind the jawline...its way too...um...uh...ya no I can't find a damn thing wrong with it!! Keep it up ;)

I like that. I dont think its to busy, but as you know it will eventually get covered up by the dreads...

Yea exactly. I just want there to be somthing under there, so if you ever look behind the dreads it doesent look rushed or plain. I am all for making somthing that is quality. The neck will be covered by the rings too, im gonna cast those seperatly this time.

Awsome job there, is there any concern whos skin the mask will match up with. I love the scale work but will it blend well with the body?

Just a thought

Well if somone is interested in a skin i can make one that matches. It will probably be made on a lifecast of me and im about 6' 2". I plan to make a whole suit anyway but im debating if i want to make a skin from a sculpture/mold or just build one up from L-200 foam on a spandex suit and coat it with latex.

damn fine texture! i wish i would have done more on my halfmasks neck.

ok not to sound like i know anything, i couldnt sculpt that well, but the vertical wrinkle lines on the mandible flaps seem too exact. the spacing is very even.
with real wrinkles they would be more organic and uneven. even some of them would not connect top and bottom. i only see this because it is something i did on my sculpt.

but that's just me. if no one else agrees then ignore me!! ;)

looks good Corey.

Yea thats my next area of intrest. I am gonna try to make them less regular and add in the super fine detail to them. I think i might also squish around the clay on the neck a bit more to make it less even too.

Looking good! Nice job with that sculpt. How long has it taken you to do this so far? It'd take me over a week to get as far as you have.

Its been about 20-25 hours, but i have been redoing things alot. I had stopped sculpting for about 5 years so I got a little rusty, but i am starting to get the hang of it again. ;)

Well, i did some more work. I was test fitting the sculpture to the P1 bio and saw that the top two mandibles were gonna bump so i shortened them by about a half an inch. I cut down the underside of the jaw some and made the lines a little less regular, and added in some fine detail to the eye sockets and the cheeks. I worked the neck a bit too and smoothed it up a bit more, and i cut off alot of the detail were the dreads meet the head, i thought they needed to look more uniform. I am trying to clean up the head texture as well and get it ready to mold. I ran out of ultracal-30 so i am gonna head to denver this week and pick some up so i can start the mold. Still got a bit more work before its ready but need some more last minute changes before it becomes set in stone. Thanks for looking and i hope you have some comments.

Yea meningers has water based clay and hydrocal. Mile high ceramics has ultracal and more clay and stuff too.

Hey all! I got my ultracal-30 and i am getting ready to mold soon. Been adding super fine detail to the mask today and cleaning it up. I added in the little holes for the whiskars to go into, and increased the number since my last sculpt. It has a tiny bit more work under the chin and on the back of the head, and some overall cleaning but its almost there! Let me know what you think of the layer of added detail.
