POTC: Bandanas?

Hey everyone!

I'm not really a cosplay person, but as a motorcyclist/fan, I do like my bandanas. I've tasked myself with collecting exact replicas of those seen in the movies. The only one I have been able to get is Jack's first bandana in POTC I, Curse of the Black Pearl, from an awesome site called Swagarts. I have already spoken to the site owner and know she will not be retailing any of the other bandanas seen in the movies.


Can anyone help me out here? Thank you!!!

Risu, I'm not sure you read my post correctly, lol.

I have the first Jack Sparrow bandana. He wears a different one after the Kracken eats him, anyway.

I'm looking for Captain Teague's, Barbossa's, Black Beard's, and the others. They do not appear on Ebay- I've already tried looking there. Thank you anyway!

So what exactly was the difference? I know they faded it with bleach, which isn't difficult, and I've heard a few people say the pattern is different, but I've never been able to see the difference and they're all so secretive about everything that nobody's ever done a side by side comparison to my knowledge. If you can show me exactly how it's different I'd love to help you look.

Yeah.. I've tried researching Penny Rose, even, and have yet to find anything on who even supplied her on fabrics and such. I think the pattern is different, and there was another change in his accessories, like his beads or something, I can't remember. I've heard that since all of his things are from his travels, that he as a character has updated his things to reflect his adventures in the movies, but knowing Depp, I'd consider it possible that he wanted to do it for fun, like how he and his makeup artist kept making the scab-like mark on his face bigger and bigger throughout the Black Pearl movie.

I'm not sure just how different it is.. I first noticed because of the square/whatever that shape is (lol) missing from it in the Stranger Tides movie.. At first, I thought I'd been jipped on a fake Jack bandana, lol.

What's driving me bonkers is that I've been off and on searching for POTC bandanas for months, and have yet to see Barbossa's, Will's, Teague's, and Angelica's bandanas.. I think Davy Jones has one, looks like they attached it inside of his hat.

See, the lack of the big square could just be the way it's folded. It's a huge bandana, you only see a small part of it at a time.

i can talk all day about this topic so im gonna try to make this really short..

well for POTCB 1 they got this red ish bandana (( not bleached as they said... is DYE )
with a "Dollar Print" pattern made in india. NOT idea where they bought these bandanas ( 2001-2002 )

for POTCB 2-3 they back to the "Dollar Print" pattern but from another supplier , the pattern is not exact the same they dye them "burlesque red " thats way looks more Pink . than red ( remember things in real life looks different.. for the movies they used colour correct )
Ive never seen this pattern in any bandanas for sale. ever. no idea where they got them, the myth is, " in a market in north London ". believe me i asked everywhere in London and nothing.

this picture is showing the screen used bandanas from pirates 2- and 3 .

then for POTCB 4
they bought a huge stock from different guys on the arrrbay.
and they decided to go for the " wine colour.. with really blue flowers "... ( original )
and they dye them with brown.. resoult.. a really dark "wine " colour.
the pattern again is different ( in the same range of dollar print )




as you can see the pattern is the same for poftcb 4.. just the way they folded the bandana is different.

this one is my screen used which i believe is one of the hero


this bandana was available few years ago by the guy on arrrbay... now the stock is gone.
i searched everywhere in UK for this bandana and pattern and ... i did found 3 of them (2011 ) since then... nothing,

So you've clearly put a lot of time into this. I still don't see the difference. And to be clear, are you saying that not a single bandana that matches any of the first three movies has ever surfaced? And how is the current ebay one/Magnoli's different from each movie?

well, yes they are different.
and yes NON are the same .- any sellers in the world , dont sell the same bandana ( pattern ) as the screen used.

Hey tonners. There's a Will Turner bandana available on etsy:

The seller stated that it's not 100% screen accurate but he/she tried to get it as close as possible. I personally like how it looks! I love that it was also aged and hand dyed (probably why it's a bit pricey). The color looks fantastic!

I've been looking for fabric that matches Teague's. If I find it I'll post here. I DID find a paisley pattern that was close in colors but not at all in the pattern itself. Good luck in your search

Man, four posts in and he's already angry at the board.

Good luck! unless you find THE exact supplier it's going to be next to impossible. You can find close enoughs but as sparse as the info is on the Sparrow Bandanna, there will be even less for side characters.
It's probably why you didn't get the answer you were looking for.
