Post Apocalyptic Gear

Hi all,
I'd quite like to share my Post Apocalyptic Costume; still a work in progress as I'm adding new bits all the time. The basic idea is that its the post apocalyptic equivalent of Galaxy Quests' 'crewman number six', ie. 'post apocalyptic warrior number 6' - I'm adding little bits and pieces to reference various movies, whatever I can make 'fit the style' - on these pictures that's the Alien franchise (so far) - I have the comedians badge from Watchmen to add, I've just made Cables' daughters' teddy bear from 'Deadpool 2' to hang off the belt (spot the not so deliberate mistake on that one!) The mask is in the process of being replaced with a much cooler and more 'military tech' version I have coming, I'll be adding some 'Stark Industies' logos to that I think.. anyway, here are some shots of the costume and some of the before and afters of some bits that went into it -of course everything is Con Friendly and anything that looks metal is either plastic, foam or rubber... I'd love to see anyone elses costumes and props of a similar post apocalyptic vein, so please add them here!

I absolutely adore the work you did on that teddy bear. Was it all weathering or did you actually take a blow torch to it? I can't tell. Amazing job!

Kudos to the teddy makers, that stuff doesn't want to burn at all! it just shrivelled the fur, so the finished look is mostly down to paints

I've been meaning to put together a post apocalyptic costume, and I love the idea of franchise Easter eggs places throughout. I'm totally using that idea for when I eventually get that kit done.

Just finished painting up this plastic Airsoft mask to replace the skull mask with.. added some lights which I took from a pair or reading glasses and I'm going to add a 'Stark Industries' logo on there too

Absolutely love weathering stuff, the more weathered the better started years ago when I discovered I could make decorations for my house look much more antique, expensive and interesting with a bit of weathering. Don't think there's a single thing I own that hasn't had at least a little bit

I've modded the mask a bit more after watching Adam Savage on 'tested' looking at the space suits from alien covenant. Added more decals, makes it feel more 'real'
