Has anyone seen "The last Mimzy"? I caught a sneek preview at my local theater last weekend. Very cool movie and some cool props to think about. It reminded me of the way I felt at the end of E.T. when I first saw it.
Anyway, with out giving away the story, one of te main characters is found to be doodling in his school notebook. The doodles turn out to be what are klnow as Tibetan Mandalas, ancient symbols of complex mathematical formulas and beliefs. One of these Mandalas is identicle to the original "Colonial Warrior" patch from Galactica.
If anyone else here has seen this tell me I didn't imagine it.

Yes, the original Galactica symbol is a tibetan meditation symbol.

Most of the pins and patches on the show were simply readily available stuff from military supplies and surplus.

My young son just asked me to recreate the mimzy bunny for him.
