Portal Gun Stand, do it yourself?

Has anyone come up with a simple gun stand for the 1:1 NECA replica portal gun?

A list of possible source parts would be very handy.

They had an official one that was pretty nice. Check eBay. I think that's what most people used. Especially when Amazon put them on sale for like $10. But I've never only seen one custom stand and I don't remember who made it. Use the search and you might be able to find it.

That one used the official stand, cannibalized to make a revolving stand.

I was wondering what you call those "y" shaped brackets or if there there's a special name for those brackets. I'm stumped, looking for parts.

I'm not sure what you would call them other than support brackets or something like that.

Bought a stand for my Portal gun.

I actually bought the official stand that NECA released, and tricked it out to look truer to the in-game version. I'm extremely happy with the way it turned it, because I honestly was disappointed that the original stand didn't look like this.
