Polyester resin question

Hey i got a polyeser resin package including fiberglass and hardener.
But it is fluid resin and paste hardener, the people in the store said it is supposed to be like that, but on some sites it says "do not intermix fluid and paste resin/hardener"

Can anyone confirm if it is right or a fabrication issue?

Yes, the hardener is suppost to be paste in a tube. It mixes very easily with the liquid resin. You should only use the hardener that the resin needs. Some resins indeed have liquid hardeners, but you should use what comes in the package and do not mix diferent hardeners with diferent resins.

I have never heard of that kind of stuff, I have seen people mix filler and resin with both hardeners to make something called Rondo (I have used the stuff myself). So I know they're okay to mix, but I haven't heard of the stuff that you have...

Thanks for the fast responses , my doubt was because the picture of the set on the website had a slightly different tube.
The brand is albastine , it aperantly uses the same hardener for everything, poly resin, lots of different fillers etc.

"Bondo" or car body filler is in the most case nothing else than a "fiberglass" polyester-resin with a "filler" material.

so the resin-base is the same so that the hardener is the same stuff.

BUT there are also Epoxy or Polyurethane Resins, chemicaly complete diffrent types of stuff with their own reaction with their special hardener.
Those can't be mixed up across without unforseen results.
