Poe Dameron Ep. IX build (pic heavy)

My gut is that if it's not off-the-rack then it's an existing piece of artwork (possibly from some previous SW source... krayt dragon?). I'm leaning towards an off-the-rack item that's been redyed to match his outfit. Finding the original though will likely just be a bit of dumb luck... so I'm not holding my breath. Recreating the pattern is nigh impossible though, so I'm at an impasse without more information.

Any chance you could post where you found the Mosin Nagant Ammo-pouches for the bandolier? Thanks!
Yeah, sure!
I found the pouches on ebay. They showed up from time to time.
But those just work as templates for the center pouch of the bandolier.
(I posted the dimensions on the first page of this thread).

I’m gonna watch this thread. Are you going to do any commissions?
I'm still working on an improved version of the scarf, which I'm planning to offer on my Etsy-shop.
As for the other items - I'm not sure. The bag and bandolier were a hell lot of work, so I don't know yet if I would want to do another one shortly o_O
But I can surely let you know, when I got something to offer!
Anything special you'd be interested in?

Thanks for getting back to me! I actually follow your Etsy, eagerly looking for that scarf. Actually just the Scarf and the Bandolier are left. I have boots coming in and Indy is taking care of Pants and Shirt. I have a maker for the Holster rig as well. So a commission for a Satchel only for now. And please let me know when that new scarf gets dropped. Thanks!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my progress on the holster rig. Open to any and all thoughts… ☺️

Feeling good about the color!

It’s tricky, because pics of the stuff on display at Disney are not actually the ones that Oscar Isaacs wears in the film. And then going through the film frame by frame helps very little because there are always different lighting conditions. Some of the best views you get of it is when they are on Kylo’s command ship but all the light is either blue or red or what have you so although there’s good images for shapes, not so much for color. But my honey found a few different behind-the-scenes views that seemed to help, plus a few promotional shots such as this.

Ultimately, I think one always has to just make the call where they want to strike a balance between what the thing looks like in real life and what you actually see on film…

Getting really close now! I think the belt rig I’ll have finished today and then onto the pants belt and painting the gun! What do you all think?

That's looking great! Nice work!
Thank you! I actually finished construction today, but it was time to shut the shop down and get out so I haven’t taken good pics yet. I still want to do final weathering/airbrushing on it and then do some photos. And actually, I want to paint the gun and do photos with the painted gun as well.

Hey there Dameronites!

been meaning to post this but we’ve been caught up in getting our first prototype for the Mandalorian Leathers out, but that’s another story…

Finally delivered this to our client, Alex Garcia, who is around here somewhere…

Really pleased with how the rig turned out, especially the weathering. And how about the buckle on the pants belt?!? I thought my wife Amy really nailed the texture and paint job. We also painted the blaster too...This was no cleanup by the way, we just painted the print that came from Traywick Designs. By the way, the Conchos on the spelt rig came from Muddler!

Great work! I especially love the weathering on the leather!
(Just wish I had spent that much devotion on my own holster...:notworthy: )
Simply awesome!

Sorry I only just saw this. (As soon as we shipped the Poe holster, we had to launch right into a leather set from the Mandalorian.)

Anyhow, thank you for the kind words!

And I have to say, regardless of how much time you might’ve spent on your own rig, you did a bang up job on the conchos! And they perfectly fit an inch and a half wide strap.Very nice!

By the way… Are you still selling those? I believe you had them on Etsy? Just curious in case I get anyone else asking for a rig. I’m working on casting my own out of aluminum but until that happens it’s nice to have a good quality option!

Great to hear that the buckles fit your 1.5 inch belt! That's actually just serendipity. I made them to fit with a 4cm belt, because that's a quite common size over here - and it seemed to fit best with my estimates from the reference-pix. ;)

And yes: the buckles are still up for sale in my Etsy shop if anybody is interested.(y)
