All this sculpting on here has got me excited! Ok, so I have sculpted a P1 style shoulder armor piece with the intent of casting it. The clay I used is waterbased. I used it because it was free and I have access to a bunch. This piece took me about 6 hours using screen shots. It is wrapped up tightly to keep moisture in. I plan on following the mask builds like the one MeanGene has done with the boars and relate that same knowledge of 2 part molding ( soft rubber for details/ hard fiberglass resin to keep shape). I want a final fiberglass resin shoulder piece. So, the question is What type of rubber gel should i Use over the clay? Would silicone from the hardware store work fine? Any help is appreciated!
