Plastic buck?

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question/in the wrong forum.

I have a pair of thrift-store snowboard goggles that I'm using for my current costume. Repainting the frame was a success, but now the greenness of the lens is bothering me....

Is it possible to form 1/8" acrylic over the lens to make a copy of it, without completely destroying it?
(On a related note, would you be able to shape acrylic over a PVC tube? I want a tube of the same size.)

Make a paper pattern from the original, mark all the drilled holes or cutouts.

Make a flatt one, stick it in toaster oven until barely flexible. Lay it on something roughly the same curve. That's close enough for those. Re-did some Luke Hoth goggles like that.

If you burn it it gives off toxic fumes, so don't burn it.

Copy that, it's how I made the visor for my Daft Punk helmet. The bigger the piece the harder it is to get right. And don't use 1/8", 1/16" will be more than sturdy enough.
