Plaster Of Paris Mold

I made a plaster of paris mold for a plasma caster canister. I then want to press modeling clay into the mold and thin it out to make a positive impression. I've noticed that the plaster is somewhat absorbent. My question is this:

What can I use to coat the plaster of paris so the modeling clay doesn't stick tot he mold?

Thanks in advance.

Yep. Clear coats work or I have used cheap spray paint...but it needs to be gloss finish to get the best results. I use at least 3 or 4 coats to seal PoP when I have to use it.
