Haven't been able to catch Toy Story 3 at the theater, so I just watched it on OnDemand.

Absolutely brilliant. The best one yet. No complaints whatsoever. I can't believe how real the CG looked at times.

I won't be ashamed to say it was a tear jerker and I won't be ashamed to say I still have a love my original Buzz Lightyear and Woody from 1995. Great toys, great franchise.

But I can't believe it's been 11 years since the last one. Where in the heck did that decade go???

i love Toy Story 3, however it kept reminding me of the Brave Little Toaster...had almost the same plot among a ton of other similarities....

I met John Lasseter last year and he was a really nice guy..Very down to earth

It's got a little darkness to it though, more than the other movies. I think Lotso and his goons, especially the creepy baby and the Chimp could be a little frightening for young kids. The monkey bomb in the beginning was hilarious! Ok, I do have one complaint. I would have liked to see Lotso redeemed at the end. Have his faith restored and join the gang.

Saw it very recent too. Loved the last almost as much as the first. VERY rare in a sequal. Fun movie, heart wrenching at times. Now I can go get the boxed set.
(y)thumbsup:thumbsupKudos to Pixar!(y)thumbsup:thumbsup

I like how they pulled up the game of both Disney and Dreamworks. Pixar is the steamtrain that makes great things and inspires others to do better.

And whenever anyone mentions the curse of the third movie Toy Story 3 has proven that it IS possible to make an equally compelling and good story to the previous ones if you just put your heart and soul into it and not cop out an do something lame because it is easier to skimp on the story and just throw CGI and explosions at the viewer. Which is ironic, since Toy Story is ALL CGI! :lol

Toy Story is that unicorn of movie series: the rare perfect trilogy.

I don´t really know that. I think I have to rewatch Toystory 3. It was a little too much darkness in that movie for my tastes, it first made me sad, and left me almost really depressed in the end. I am totally with DH´s version of a possible ending.

I liked the ending. Considering, as a parent, that repeat viewings of the film are imminent it's nice to see Lotso AS a bad guy throughout. If he redeemed himself the next viewing would not have the sinister edge to it. They can't all have Disney happy endings (yes I know Pixar is now owned by Disney).

What I was hoping for on the Blu Ray as a bonus feature was a short or 2 showing where Bo Peep, RC, Etch etc ended up. For some reason their fate troubles me! ;)

This is Pixar hankey. They're not known for doing stories that are about the female characters. We'll be lucky if Brave (formally the "Bear and the Bow") is even marketed as such after the abysmal marketers tried effortlessly to not showcase Rapunzel as the leading character of her own movie.

Actually no....that was Buttercup who turns out to be a DUDE!

I keed!

TS3 was the best animated movie of 2010 and I know they will score another golden idol for their effort.

I would have to say Pixar is the GREATEST ANIMATION Studio ever and I am glad Disney has partnered up with them.

John Lassiter is the reincarnated Walt Disney. Pixar is what Disney would have been if Walt would still be alive today.

I too will support their efforts whenever I can.

I loved the end credits when they are reading the letter they thought was from Barbie...and it ended up being written by Ken and the face Woody makes :lol:lol:lol:lol

I thought it was great, too.

I loved the fact that Andy's toys live on to help make another kid happy - who has the same type of imagination, as well. It's sad they're no longer with Andy, but you know they'll be happy and with Andy off to school, they're only alternative of being with him means being stuck on a shelf and not played with anymore.

I loved the homage to ROTJ, too.

The freaky baby picking up Lotso and tossing him down the shaft (dumpster).

It was great :)

I would have loved a toss out to the adults and grandparents, too, by having the Great Escape theme playing as they trying to get across the playground. Maybe have Woody jump Evel Kneivals motorcycle over something as well.

Did anyone else catch this part when seeing it in the theaters?

The garbage man wearing the skull T-shirt is Sid from TS1 all grown up

There was also rumor that the little girl at the end was Boo from Monster's Inc. but the panel from a special showing of TS3 said no.

Yeah Pixar rocks hardcore. Not one bad movie in their library. It's gotten to the point where you see the name PIXAR before a movie you just know it's going to be a good movie and you won't leave disappointed.

Toy Story 3 was an amazing movie. Hard to keep an animated franchise that strong with 3 films, but they truly pulled that off and I agree, it's one of the perfect Trilogies out there and wouldn't change a thing.

Will there be more Toy Story movies with Bonnie? Not much more you can do actually. They've done all the story lines in my opinion. Their greatest fear was realized and resolved in TS3 (losing Andy). No more motivation as I really don't want to watch another escape/return storyline.
