Never used Pinkysil before, so I thought I'd give it a go. It's fast cure (6 mins) and in fact too frigging' fast. I mixed 1 kg of it and by the time it was mixed properly it was goo, just managed to get it into the mold, but it was too solid to flow out correctly....$70 in the bin!
I usually use a Ultrasil type product that you could mix well, slow pour and it was perfect, but I can't get it anymore, so Pinkysil it is, our choices are limited because where we live.
The mistake I made was, it's hot and humid where I live, so the mix and pour time is like 2 minutes, so next time I'll mix small batches. It seems to capture very fine detail, but hell on wheels it cures fast!
Has anyone been able to alter the cure time by keeping it in the fridge???......just a thought.
cheers
