Pierce Brosnan admits he keeps souvenirs from Bond movies...

Pierce Brosnan has revealed that he kept an Aston Martin from one of his Bond films - reports Digital Spy.

The actor admitted that souvenirs from his days as 007 are still very important to him.

"I've got the Omega watches, I've got the Aston Martin," he said during a radio interview.

"I have the suits and I have the memories. I've got the scripts - the films are there on the mantelpiece."

"I will always carry them in my heart. How can you not?"

Who'd have thought the guy was so sentimental? Keeping little souvenirs like that... kind of warms your heart, doesn't it? :p

What 'cha expect? Since his Moonlighting days... He's been told by everyone that he would make the perfect Bond. Sorry to see him be replaced. :(

Are you thinking of Remington Steele? Or did Brosnan do some appearances on Moonlighting, too? (I never really followed either of those shows. :p )

Yes, I'll be sorry to see him go... although Connery will always be Bond in my book.

You're right... Remmington Steele... Just got out of bed and hadn't had my coffee yet. :$

So...has anyone started working on that prop replica? The Aston Martin? If any of you are going to offer a kit, let me know.

It's a pretty minor mix-up compared to someone I know who used to confuse Pierce Brosnan with Bronson Pinchot. (She didn't confuse the faces, just the names.)

If Pierce Brosnan and Bronson Pinchot got into Dr. Boris Balinkoff's personality-switching machine, they'd come out as Pierce Pinchot and Bronson Brosnan. :D

I think he should drop that aston-martin into some resin and mold it .

;)

Cool tho', now he like a geek god or somethin'...

I used to love that show.
Oh, the shame..

I heard that he was a contender for Bond back in his Remington Steele days, but that he was "too young" for the part and it conflicted with his TV series schedule. He mentions in an interview about things coming full circle when he became the leading choice for Goldeneye. Despite stellar performances by Moore and Connery, Brosnan defines the character, imo.
Hopefully the new guy gives the character justice in Casino Royale.

I hate to admit it, but I used to watch "Remington Steele" when I was younger. I had a huge crush on Stephanie Zimbalist (Laura Holt). Always thought she was a cutie. :)

Me too. I thought it was a fun, cheeky show. I'm sure if I watched it now I'd cringe at the thought of ever liking it.

I don't know if keeping a few of the bond items really classifies him as a "prop collector" but I think he certainly sounds like he's got a decent Bond "screen used" collection. And he probably see's his favorite screen used prop every time he looks in the mirror.. hahhaha.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :D
