Pic request and measurements: Russ Obi Grenade

I'm having a spot of trouble with an Obi ANH saber and need some help.

I have one of Russ's Obi ANH Alu inner spacers that goes inside between the grenade, clamp, and booster.

The booster is a Russ, and the clamp is a real Graflex. I don't have access to a Russ grenade, so I'm using a Parks steel grenade as a temporary stand in.

When the pieces are assembled, the grenade sits too low in the clamp.

The top of the clamp should be even with the bottom ring and the first set of frag pieces.

With this set-up the grenade is so low the lowest frag ring is even with the top of the clamp, looking like this:

It should look like this, but the only way is for the grenade to not sit flush on the spacer:

Does anyone have the measurement of a Russ grenade on the bottom ring ? Of a picture of it ?

:confused

That's a concern? Really?

I'm drilling the holes in the top of the clamp for the brass screws, and the grenade needs to be in the correct place for the screws to be in the accurate position.

They screw into that bottom ring, centered, so the grenade needs to sit properly.

I just want to make sure the Russ grenade is not different on the bottom ring.

6.62mm to be exact according to my digital calipers. Definitely looks like your grenade is a touch short. You can always toss a washer under it.
