You guys know what brought this on, right?

The success of the LEGO movie. No joke. I guaran-frickin-tee you yet another unimaginative studio head looked at the success of that film, said "We can do that" and then went shopping for a license. And, to be fair, we'd probably all have dismissed "The LEGO movie" if all we had was the basic name, and yet that film is (supposedly) really good. (I haven't seen it yet.)

So, chances are, the PEZ movie is just an also-ran in this department, inspired by a studio directive to option more licenses.

I don't know how much my opinion matters to you, Dan, but I absolutely adore the Lego Movie. It's not high-concept, just really fun. Saw it several times in theaters and got it on BluRay the day it came out. Have the soundtrack, too. And... one of the movie-tie-in Lego sets. I won't tell you which until you've seen it. Likewise the shirt I got. I don't have the game yet, though (and I do have all the other Lego console games, so it's only a matter of time).
