(Note: I know there's a thread with the shotgun in it, if the mods wanna delete the other one, go ahead, I wanted to put this stuff all in one thread in case anyone else has their own in-progress versions)
Hello all!
Been quite a busy week for me, prepping for Spooky Empire coming up next week, so I've been bucking to get all my props ready for my Peter Vincent costume from the new Fright Night. (Terrible movie, great character).
So I had to assemble a few key things to really pull this costume off:
The Holy Shotgun:

This is a scratch-build weapon I made using a single sheet of bendable aluminum, two metal pipes, an old toy shotgun for the butt, pump grip, trigger, and the shell ejection slot. The rest is just a lot of bondo, hot glue, and paint. The cross ornament is made from scrap metal and a key ring as well.
The Double-Barrel Stake Gun:

While it is not the stake gun he uses at the final fight scene, it IS based on the design that Evil Ed had drawn in his journal earlier in the film. I just ended up with the parts to make THIS version, so I went for it. It's made of PVC pipe, two empty Co2 canisters, an old wooden gun I modded, and two wooden stakes. All-in-all I think it came out pretty well.
The Ancient Dagger:

This was a straight up re-paint. A solid-colored ugly looking toy before, but it had a nice shape, and style, so I fixed it by repainting the handle, blade-guard and sheath. Aged it, and boom, looks better.
Within the next few days I should have my shotgun shell bandolires, and I've made a few stakes for that. I also have a bunch of shells to put in it. I'll continue to post pictures, but this is the work sofar. Hope you guys like it!
