Pete Mander Wolf - Paintup Part II

I am working on another one of Pete's Wolf heads. The 1st one I did was his first open mouth sculpt, and since then hes done a closed mouth, and one with the mouth half-open half-closed - which is the one I'm working on. I really have to hand it to Pete - his sculpting skills are simply mad. He textured this bad boy out the wazoo. For me, I love details and comparing the open mouth to this one and seeing all the subtle differences hes made is really cool. I'm not posting pics of them side by side yet - I'll save that for last when this one is all done. In the meantime, here is a quick comparison of the three verisons that Pete has made:

Pete reinforced the resin with fiberglass to make it stronger. It confused me at first when I was dremelling it because my hands were getting super itchy from the resin dust! Reason #423 why you should always wear a respirator when using a dremel lol!

So, here are the pics with white primer on it...gonna be a slow process to paint this up since I plan on taking my sweet time with it...

Some of you are probably wondering why I post so many freaking pictures....well, when I see pics of other people's stuff - be it Bios, or heads, I can create a visual 3d picture in my head of how it would look if I were holding it in my hands. I can rotate it and see it from different angles which makes it easier when I want to draw something that I don't have in my hands. I also know that other people use my pics for reference in their own sculpts, so the reason is two-fold...

This is a very accurate Wolf head sculpt and you know I never knew exactly how many dread holes that each Predator is supposed to have from the P1, P2, and the AVPs.

Super sculpt and cast and don't aplogise for posting loads of highly detailed photos. I like the different angled views, very informative. I want to convert my my multi angle pics into 3d but don't know how. Yours would look cool too and if you're worried about cluttering the post with photos a single 3d walkaround would be ideal. Anyone got any suggestions how it can be done?

Really looking forward to seeing this badass all painted. Detailed texture in cast almost guides you where to paint; a bit like painting by numbers. No need to imagine where some colours stop and start. This is a jigsaw I wouldn't mind painting myself. Good luck.

It's a lethal head and super sculpt. I'm lucky enough to have 1 for a mask. Looking forward to seeing this painted up and no doubt you'll rock it

I enjoy making my own teeth from Sculpy which is why I didn't use the ones that came with the head. Plus I wanted to make them look as close as I could to the screen used one. Here are some pics with teeth added:

I wish I had the time! I got the P2 head in and am just finishing making teeth for it. Haven't even gotten a chance to start on P1 or Wolf. The way its looking I don't think I will get a chance to paint any of these until the new year because of my retarded schedule.
