Perfect Grade Falcon - Standard Edition

The lack of a lighting kit is no big deal. The one in the "full version" is kind of crappy. You could just buy some pre-wired LEDs and hook them up to a 9 volt and have just as good results.

The photoetch is nice, but I have seen after market parts that are better and personally the plastic version of the part around the cockpit tube is better detailed than the photoetch

It all comes down to whether you want stickers or waterslide transfers. The stickers are crap and useless, especially if you are painting it. Currently I know of no third party way to get waterslide transfers for it.

That is really the main downside

Good insight - thanks!

Well so much for the std version being cheaper... its nearly the same price on uk amazon

I agree with Analyzer... The photo etch included with the premium version isn't really worth it. The lighting in it is sub-par at best. The water slide decals are the only thing that would benefit from getting the premium kit. However, I have printed the important waterslide decals, so if anyone would want them, I'd send them to you, for free of course.

Greenstrawberry has a few photo etch kits for the PG Falcon that would be better suited than the included ones in the premium kit. The thing is, you will most likely find the premium kit for close to the same price as the standard version.

I would absolutely love a copy. If you've already printed out some sheets, I'm happy to pay for shipping or whatever, or even a digital copy of the scan would be amazing.

Okay, so if you’re asking about whether you should get the standard or initial release - I’d agree with the others. The fine detail decals are the only major distinction, given third party options. So whatever’s cheaper where you are...

All the posts here have been fantastic.

Another way to state the intent of this thread - is the physical kit the same in all versions?

is the "Deluxe" and the "Standard" one in the same?

There aren't THREE versions of this kit are there?
Only two versions, "deluxe" in "quotes" means the first version. Plastic parts are the same for each, only difference is the standard lacks the light kit, etch and water slides.

Rob you have been around long enough - you know I don't give a **** about stickers, decals, lights, and PE parts...

So thank you!

Thanks for clarifying and contributing to the thread.

I say no to the average Joe and here is why: Deago has sales where its about $1k for a studio scale MF. Yes PH isnt an average Joe but the Deago build is so rewarding and fun. Unless you have a MR Falcon (hint) lying around the garage, the Deago is the kit to get and upgrade as needed.

This is coming from a dude who didnt have a MF.....but now I have two.

The Standard Edition also has a blue piece for the engine; the P-Bandai Millennium Falcon has a white one.

Floored by that offer, C... I'm back in Cali for a few days in Late January, so I shall ponder!

LOL My MR MF is in the garage! Got bumped for my son's SS Lego MF kit!

This thread made me do a double take. I had to go to Amazon and check the price of the perfect grade falcon. I was surprised that it’s gone up a bit. I’m sure used to be less than it cost to get the standard version now.
