Recently made an STL file for a wing and tried to unfold it in Pepakura, only to find it couldn't quite figure out how to do part of the curve. I ended up using different widths for each 'facet' on the parts of the file that can't unfold correctly, but I'm confused as to why Pepakura wouldn't just correct itself and make them a flat surface as well - especially when they're thinner and more numerous than the ones it did treat as flat.
I suspect the problem has something to do with the red lines present in the 'folded' model, but I haven't figured out how to do much in Pepakura besides unfolding, rescaling and rotating/moving pieces. Is there any way to force Pepakura to treat all these as a continuous surface?

I'm also unsure as to what is going on with the 'unfolded' model at left in the second picture, but it doesn't seem to be affecting much in the fold itself.
