pepakura paper mache pulp method

Thing i have done goes like this: made pep helmet, resin it from outside, take two roles of toilet paper take it in bowl with water then press it to take almost all water from it after that you can put it in blender and mix it with wood glue and some kind of wall repair powder to make paste like mix that can be applied by hand let it dry about 24 hours, it won't deform your pep piece because it has one coat of resin on it, after drying sand it (sands easy), primer it, paint it. Two days job without time you spend making your helm or whatever.

thank you but is there an alternative to resin?

You've already been given your answers. There are no magical solutions, some things just have to be done a certain way.

I would also suggest you check the attitude. There's no need to be afraid, angry or whatever.

This forum has some of the kindest most helpful people I have ever dealt with and do not deserve it; especially when they're only trying to help you out.

What's the old saying.. don't bite the hand that feeds you?

Take a step back, re-read your posts and have a think how it came across.

Good luck.
SEE you said people trying to help you, YOU are NOT helping me that is why i disrespect you and the others that dont help out and just have something useless to say, so shut up if you're not going to help

You see this is your problem, you don't seem to understand when people are trying to help you

Read my 1st reply. I questioned why you weren't using card, informed you about the problems using paper, suggested glue options.

The next poster agreed and gave you more information and all you did was attack and insult.

Your reasoning is flawed anyway. Superglue is perfectly safe, you don't need gloves, face masks or full bio suits to use it. Gloves and a ventilated area to use resin/bondo sure but not superglue. But this won't work anyway as you need some way to strengthen your model first and using paper simply won't work.

But anyway, I've tried to help and you've just been insulting. Your posts reek of immaturity, I can only presume this has nothing to do with safety and in fact mommy won't allow you to use it. Whether this is the case or not don't be a child and take out your frustrations on us.

I'm out.

May i ask why you are afraid to use superglue?
It's not that dangerous that people might think, Unless you put some in your eyes (use goggles if that makes you more safe.)
I do not use plastic gloves when i use superglue because as soon as i have accidentally glued the glove to what ever i am making ,glove will not come off without tearing it apart and i need to use another glove.
The glue i use is this :

It don't come out in any large amount unless you really squeeze the bottle really good. It mostly comes out in 1 drop at the time.
If (and when) you happen to glue one or more of your fingers to the paper. DON'T PANIC. The wrong way to get the fingers loose is to tear away the finger from the paper.
Just twist the finger back and forth a couple of times and you will get loose. You will have a little glue residue on your fingertips but that is to be expected and if you glue a couple of fingers together you do the same thing.
Don't try to cut yourself apart with an X-acto knife...You WILL do more damage than the glue does if you slip.
Here are a couple of tips

Hassle from what? By doing pepakura any other way than using hotglue (i don't use that because i keep on burning myself) and Superglue is a real hassle.
You could try doublesided tape to get the pepakura parts together but because you don't want to use thicker paper (180g is something i use) you will sadly not be able to apply something like papermache without it getting wet and make the pepakura lose its shape....Maybe, just maybe you could strengthen it by applying a couple of layers of ducttape before using the papermache. But all this will take a lot more time than by using thicker paper and the right glue. And because you told us before in one off your reply's that you don't have the time because you have a life and work, all this will still not work for you.
I have a job and a life and that is why i try to make things faster (such as using superglue) instead of using woodglue or something other really slow.

Instead of us keeping on and give you fast solutions and having you become angry because you don't want/can't/is prohibited to use . Tell us what tools you are allowed to use...I guess :

ordinary printers paper
safety scissors or xacto blades
Some sort of safe non toxic schoolglue

Is there anything else?
