Pancor Jackhammer Project

A while back I posted a commission for 3D print design of a Pancor Jackhammer.

Krispikarim came through for me, and now I'm in the process of running prints.

These are big files and many of the components will take 8 or more hours to print - some will take twice that!

For those that are wondering, I'm printing on a Creality CR10 S5 using PLA.

So far, progress is slow and steady.

I'm surprised that the Sledgehammer never went into production.
Neat YT video explaining how this weapon came into being an the lone prototype surviving.

Gun ***** said in the video the US military stopped the designer getting any other development contracts and once they decided they didn't want it designer had no money and no investors. No military really has any use for a full auto shot gun so never got made.

Perhaps back then, there was no need. But I bet it would have been really useful today for room clearing and anti-terrorist missions. Mind you you would have to reload after every room, but you could send a lot of lead flying when pinpoint accuracy isn't a requirement.

AA-12 has been around for almost 20 years no one uses them.
