Painting question

Hey all I know there was a link listed on here for wood graining a prop handle.

What I am wondering how would someond go about painting a resin prop pistol grip to
appear like Ivory grips? I am thinking of doing a Mal's pistol as a Browncoat Officers
presentation gun.

I would start w/ a basecoat of a color like Golden Titan Buff. If you own an airbrush, I would then mist on a light coat of Golden Raw Umber Hue. You might then mix a little white into the Titan Buff and sponge or airbrush that on.
