Hello,
I have a few resin pieces to be painted, I don't know what kind of resin it is...The only other thing I painted that was resin was an Indy Idol...
My question is, Is there any sort of prep work or special paint or can I just spray can it with primer and paint?

I would recommend removing all seam lines and such, and putty any air bubbles you might see. Once this is done and you've sanded away any imperfections, scrub the pieces down using some warm soapy water and an old toothbrush. Rinse them off and let them dry.

When they are dry, spray them w/ a primer of your choice and let the painting begin! :) No special paints required really.

prior to applying the primer, sanding the piece will assure grip of the paint. For detailed parts whoch could easily 'wash out' if sanded with sanding paper, use a toothbrush with a kitchen abbrassive like 'Vim'. This roughs up the surface without loosing any detail.
