painting prosthetics with cream makeup

So I'm buying a prosthetic to blend in with my own skin, and it comes completely unpainted just pulled out of the mold. I heard that some people actually paint the prosthetic a warm tone and then put it on their face to blend in with skin with makeup. should i do this, or should I just go about putting the makeup directly on it (and yes, I know how to prep it for cream makeup, I've just never tried to blend something in with my skin before)?

Prepping varies depending on what the prosthetic is made of. What material is it and where is it going to be stuck on?

If you use PAXPaint on it then just seal it with prosaide before painting. If you're just using cream/grease paint, you should be able to just dive in.

Awesome, I will check out those links and also just test some things too (the prosthetic I'm getting comes with some extra prosthetic pieces I don't need, so I will just use them for practice.)
Thanks guys!

one more question, should i mix castor oil with the cream makeup for easier application or will that cause it to smear and not dry?
