Painting cordura/nylon?

I am working my "Avengers inspired" Hawkeye costume (I say inspired because currently I do not have the time to make a screen accurate costume and need something for the time being) and am looking for a way to paint a vest I have. The vest is cordura and nylon, and before trying it I wondered if anyone out there has any experience with painting these materials.

rustoleum or krylon brand spraypaints work well with them. thats what most of the highspeed tacticool guys use to paint their gear.
