Paint Finishes

Im looking for some ideas to take away the smooth finish of sintra? Thought about a textured paint similar to the kind used for exterior walls.

Any thoughts?

I've done something like what you're talking about by blistering the paint finish, then sanding it down. It's what I did with the bio below, although the paint was metal based so I could get the patinas. With sintra, it will be important to get the blistering fast, so it doesn't just warp. I used a propane torch, I expect you could do the same.

Just a quicky, maybe a loaded rubbish so please forgive me if it is but would Hammerite Hammer spray paints work the same for this method?
