Paint Cracking On Undermask

As the title says, I'm painting a P1 undermask using acrylics and it cracks in the areas that are slightly more bendy than others, I would've thought this was unavoidable anyway but is there any way of preventing the cracking? Am I using the wrong type of paint?

Try some latex in your paint (75% latex-25% paint) If needed, make the paint thinner with ammonia.

Don't worry if the mixture is to bright ( black paint and latex will be gray but ones it dryes up it's black)

If you do it like that, use an external mix airbrush.

i've hand painted my mask using rubber cement mixed in with my paint as well as a layer on my mask

in addition to this is there anything i can treat the mask with to keep the paint supple and protect it?

I've been told to use liqutex gloss but i haven't tried it yet
