P99 - Casino Royale Shadow Box

A little project today to while away the hours.

Fed up with the P99 just sitting in its case, I thought I'd make a themed 'shadow box' display.

Not having an actual shadow box to hand, I bought one of those wooden cutlery trays, knocked out the inserts and sprayed it a deep cobalt blue.

I then inserted some green 'baize' Fablon™ to make the background.

Added some Carta Mundi cards to replicate Bond's winning hand against Le Chiffre.

Carta Mundi $100,000 poker chips.

Placement of the P99 is a little 'off' and I had to use some creative shimming. Engineering was never my forté. :roll:

Very nice display. I just purchased the DVD set with the two Pack of Cartamundi Cards and one $5 Poker Chip. Michaels sells all types of Shadow Boxes.

I did something similar to that with my P-99 from Die Another Day.

Yours looks better than mine. All I added to it besides the gun was a pic of 007.

Awesome work...especially finding out that started life as a cutlery tray, but now that you mention it you can notice the handles on the side etc.. Looks top notch tho and makes a respectable display piece, the cards and chips make a nice touch and gives you the chance to display them and put them to good use.. Very cool.
