It looked promising, it's a shame it cracked on you. What clay did you use? I believe most here use "Klean Klay". It's an oil based clay which is reusable. But still, good job though.

air dry clay that i bought at hobby lobby for $8.00, i would wrap it in wet paper towels at night and that eventually did not work.

water clay is very touchy next time try misting it with a water bottle right before you put a trash bag over it to conserve the moisture better, dont give up bro give it another shot it was looking good.
