P1 Stunt V4 - Video Huntorial on How to Paint a Bio

Looking good so far. Everything improves with practice, so it should follow that this will be your best yet! Looking forward to more progress pics!

I've decided that working on the P1 Stunt is a love/hate thing. It's a LOT of work to get it to the point where it's ready to paint. The dremeling, shaping and fixing are tedious and time consuming. However, I do like it. When it's at this point where it's primed and ready for paint...well it's kinda like eating the cake first and saving the icing for the last part! Painting is the fun part where it finally comes to life. I will TRY to do some sort of video tutorial that shows exactly how I paint up a P1 Bio to get that metallic effect. Anywho, here's the primed Bio ready for paint:

Ok so, here's a quick comparison pic to the screen used Bio. You'll notice that the shroud is the same shape and size, but the tri-lasers are not in the same position. Here's why: when the Predator scans with his targeting system, the tri-laser is a triangle. So why is does the photograph show the laser lopsided? More than likely, it was just a matter of getting it on the head and they didn't take the time to make sure the tri-laser looked like an upright triangle. When we see the Predator triangulating the target, it's very clearly a triangle with the laser looking like three lasers in a triangle formation. So even tho the screen used isn't actually correct, I chose to make mine look the same way it would if the lasers would actually target something.

Next up: uploading the video tutorial on how to paint this summbitch!

Yeah that trilaser on the screen used stunt is crooked as ****. Maybe it was knocked around during filming prior to the pic. One of the laser holes is covered up by the Bio itself. Good call man.

Awesome work! Can't wait for the video, gonna be needing it soon
:)

Wow man! Superb.

I have to say that you make it look so easy and yet with great results.
Suprised to see how you just threw the black on but when it was sponged over it just looks so right.
I've never tried sponging myself. Don't know why but now I'm definately going to have a bash.

Tell me? Do you seal the bio at the end or just leave it as is?

Thanks so, so much for your time and sharing.

Christian.

I still have to hand paint all the blast marks and battle damage, and when it's all done I will seal with with Krylon Satin. Thanks for watching guys!
