P1 Elder Open-Mouth Sculpt (Grayback)- Sculpt Finished 5/3/2013

Update time.

Got a spare 30 mins yesterday and managed to get to work on the eye brows. I have also brought the lower jaw down and angled it out to look as if it was open and also slightly marked out the crest lines on the forehead area.

Not getting a lot of time to work on this at the mo, kids being off school of summer vacation in the UK etc I have my daughter most days and get a spare few hours here and there to work on it... so .... going to sculpt on this as and when I get the time.

Enough of my Jabbering - role film......

EDIT: I haven't shown a Full side shot because the back has not been fully macked out - its getting there but thought I would get the front sorted first (size wise) and then get to the back after that to match up. That is the next job

Seriously though, I do believe the lower mandibles may be a tad "long" if this is going to be a Jungle Hunter sculpt. Just some honest criticism... take it how you will. Altogether though, this is coming together quite nice.

Duly noted, looking at it I can see that the 'detachable' part of the lower mandibles need to be shorten slightly. That should resolve the problem there, will try it and update.

Had a spare couple of hours so you know what that means................. update time!

Started working on filling the inside of the mouth in a little so that when the mas it worn there will be breathing room (don't want any suffercation issue). I have also shorten the lower mandibles by 1/2 cm and they are now looking great. I also started work on the forehead, brow line and right eye area and then .............. I ran outta time.... typical!

Bbee-bbee-bba-bbee-bbee thats all folks!

EDIT: I know that the lower teeth are of center, they are only there as a reference for now and will be altered later

Nope, just used clay. The detachable part of the mandibles is held on using tooth picks (one on each side) at the moment.

Man I wish I could work clay. It's in my head just can't get it to flow to my hands. Nice job. Great work.

I haven't forgotten about this thread... honest. My daughter has been on 6 weeks summer vacation so I have had no time to work on it but as off Monday.... back to school she goes lol

Thanks Nik, am hoping to get on this soon. I have recently had a rebuild on my workshed but go all the electrics and lighting installed today so am ready to go - no more holding me back lol I have also decided, after talking to various members throughout the last couple of days, to change this from a p1 open mouth to a p1 based custom elder open mouth. I thought I would try something a little different that I haven't real seen many of if any at all...

I plan on having this complete by Xmas/start of next year- fingers crossed.
