Re: Sum Dumb Ar*e selling a pulse rifle

Yeah, but i've seen better for way less than his buy it now,in fact yoy can buy the real thing for less.Maybe he is a little SLOW compared to most of us in the know:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol.
It looks like a Spat cave resin piece or a cheap recast

Re: Sum Dumb Ar*e selling a pulse rifle

Why is he a dumbass? He's just trying to make some money. The person who bids on it though...

Re: Sum Dumb Ar*e selling a pulse rifle

If I am looking at the correct auction:
a friend who worked for Alien War in London has authenticated the piece
This is the real trick... I would ask "authenticated as what?".

Its solid and heavy , very much how you would expect a real pulse to feel if it were metal..
The stunt PRs were very light. In fact, one was used for that very iconic image of Ripley and Newt as she is holding it, outstretched, by the rear grip alone.

Fortunately, there are better products available for much less. :)

I would like to know who his friend from Alien War is. I was a Marine too. Don't remember them being painted like that!

Re: Sum Dumb Ar*e selling a pulse rifle

This is currently being discussed on the Aliens Legacy board.

The concensus is:

1) the PR is a Star Arms kit (or recast of). A shoddy resin and vacform kit from the early 90s that was extremely difficult to build.

2) it was NOT in any way shape or form used in in the production of the film "Aliens".

3) it is believed that the seller was duped into believing that this was a screenused piece when it is clearly not.

The seller originally stated that the "Colonial Marines Charter" authenticated this piece.

Tony the webmaster of the Charter didn't have a clue what this guy was talking about. Tony emailed him and asked him to remove that statement from his auction- which he did the same day.

Needless to say this is not only not a screenused piece- it isn't even a decent PR to begin with. Star Arms kits were garbage (I used to own one)- I wouldn't pay 50 bucks for it.

Re: Sum Dumb Ar*e selling a pulse rifle

This reminds me of a guy on evilbay in the us.

He tried selling a MR rocketeer helmet and southbeach leather jacket for 15,000. I emailed him about it, and he lowered it to 1,500.

Hmm 300 dollar helmet plus 150 jacket..doesnt add up:unsure

Re: Sum Dumb Ar*e selling a pulse rifle

I'd say he's not the fool but someone spending that money without research and questions would be.:lol
To his credit he has put up a warning that his discription might not be all it's cracked up to be.......
