William Fuld made Ouija boards in the 1800's all the way up until 1966. However, since Parker Brothers bought the patent from Fuld's children in 1966, the name remained on the board produced by Parker until 1999.
My mum has a very old one somewhere, as kids they were told to leave it alone, she and her friends snuck it out once and started mucking round with it, asked a question about how old the woman next door was and it told them to mind their own business. They got so freaked out it went back in the box and never saw the light of day again.
Some things in this world cannot be explained.
I'm pretty sure it is wooden, it is 1940's or earlier.
Marvelfan, I have a Wiiliam Fuld masonite board that is from the late 60's/ early 70's. I saw a deluxe edition one on eBay but it went for more than I could spend at the time.
Thanks for that link Darthgordon. I had no ideal there were so many variations!
