the tricky thing with original tron costumes is since its spandex, theres not much one can do with lighting(especially since the designs are way complex. Mine took almost a week to plan out and paint). Best way to achieve it would be reflective tape or glow paint. On the other hand, one can definately apply lights on the pads much like tronguy did. But if you are going to do one, I'd say try to stay away from tronguys look as much as possible haha. I dont have a mustache, glasses and im not overweight and every convention i go to people call me tronguy.

wow haha. ya i dont have glasses, a mustache, nor am i overweight either! but im actualy planning on doing the original tron costume, not just some random program like tron guy did. and its not even that tron guy's costume is that bad.... he just shouldnt be wearing it! and im actualy planning on the pants not being too tight, i mean they will be tight enough but not like his hahaha. i was also thinking about making the original tron costume, but with orange or red instead of blue, and have two identity disc, yknow do a spin on what rinzler wouldve looked like if they wouldve made tron legacy in the 80's!

I was planning on the opposite and possibly making a Legacy version of Sark. That will be further down the line though once I get the two I'm working on (one for me one for my friend) done

Oh and I'd go with red since thats the original Tron color scheme. Glopaint.com has puffy type paint and spray paints. You can make a stencil and use the spray paint to spray the design on. That way you won't have to spend a long time drawing it when its possible you might mess up

thanks for the info! im gonna have to finish my tron legacy version tron suit first though!
