Now I’m back to making thing I’ve gone small.

Holy...that shot with Quint on the pulpit, lit by the big broad is epic:cool::cool:(y)(y):notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: As for the details; they're out of this world!!

Absolutely incredible. The lighting with all the work put into the small set dressing pieces, pulls it together so amazingly.

Even though I’ve watched the movie endless number of times, it was shown last night on RTE ( Irish TV Channel) and couldn’t help but watch it again. Kept getting distracted by the real details during the action and your brilliant build……… “ Flimzy got that exactly right…….and that …… and that…… oh yeah and that…….”

I’ll probably always have your model in mind whenever I look at it in future.

This must be amazing in 4k / Blue Ray media... I know that Alien is a completely new experience in high-resolution. Edge detail and colors coming through clear and sharp, rather than a bunch of blurred edges and washed-out colors (random pixels in the black is always fun too)

Things left to do,
Fishing reel/poles
Chum buckets
Binoculars
Brown coffee mug
Chum markers
Brody (big job)
Ladder string
Lower deck bunks and walls
Age paint job.
Not sure if I’m going to make Quints chair or not. That would mean making all Hoopers radar stuff too.
Display stand.
Quit in blue shirt.
Rigging and bottle screws, still waiting for brass to arrive after it got lost in the post.

OK time to fess up there are 3 big mistakes I've known for a while but were too far gone to change so I'm leaving them. I have changed the 3D model but as for ripping everything out now, I'm just bowing my head in shame and moving on.
The main one is the placement of this bulkhead it should be lined up with the center of the window bringing it forward just under 10mm. My reasoning was the shelf didn't look that deep and the hatch in the Ref (I was using ) was a single peace. it was only later I found out it was a double hindged hatch cover and half brock off during the shoot and was moved to.

then I must apologize because this relates to the poop deck looking too small. it turns out my deck is the right size its the roof that is slightly too big because the walls should have a very slight slope/ angle to them. I hadn't noticed this mainly because if it was me designing the set, I would think it add time unnecessarily not having any straight walls. No was WRONG

It's only one plank but it adds up. Then the little thing, the little round hole in the side is too low I put it on the midline of the door window. wrong. and I'd made it before realizing it.

then there's the cooker cabinet it should be one plank back

^^
Exactly what he said  !! As for the placement of that model in your house; it seems to me that it's the wrong approach.
Onto the roof! Free wear and tear by natural elements: rain, fog, sun, heat...you get the picture:p I'm sure that in less than a year, that baby is gonna be screen-accurate at a 100% level!

No such thing as mistakes when it comes to something as epic as this!

Though, you can address them in the full-size model some studio will be chasing after you to head up!
