Thank you everyone for your very kind words. I am humbled as there have been some amazing build of the orca already, I’ve cheated by increasing the scale. I discovered the RPF and all you guys/girls/geeks wile on location stuck in a hotel. I’ve been doing my job for 33 years and had lost my mo jo, I’d forgotten what it was that made the hair stand up on my arms. Watching you all making amazing replicas of the things that got me interested In the first place filled my heart with joy. I tried just doing the odd weekend in my tiny shed but that resulted in my spinner taking 5 years and a disappointing result for me. ( I will be doing it again) . I’m lucky enough to live near Geek1138 and got to go visit his workshop. That man it a one man model building construction crew. I asked how he does it. “ l get up everyday come to the shop and work then go home “ so the reason this has been a quick build is after my last job. I made a decision, take some time off working for other people and have some fun like a kid again. I’ve had a lot of people die this year , my dad, friends at work, Greg Jein who I’d worked with for 2 week Dug Trumble who I might have been doing a project with. Life is way to short to put off enjoying your self till you retire. You guys inspire me.
Posting here also help with that inevitable down period every project gets. Being able to look back at where you started, and it’s also a vast hive of knowledge that you guys have to call on.
So if there is anyone out there not posting there builds because they don’t feel worthy or good enough. Just do it. I started with corn flake box’s and I’m still learning today.
