Opinion on this Ra Headpiece

Does anyone have or have seen this headpiece on Ebay by moviepropcollector? He just chabged his Ebay name.
I don't know how to post pics here (sorry) it is the auction that has 2 headpieces in it with a quarter and one has an amber crystal and the other is red?
Just wanted to see what you guys thought about it as far as the finish, if it is screen accurate, general thoughts on it. It is only $45, so for those of us on a budget, is it an alternative to the ACME one for $109?

Yeah, I'd save up and go with the ACME. I've seen a lot of headpieces around, even owned one or two, and I keep coming back to the idea that if I'd just gotten the ACME first, I'd have saved myself a lot of trouble.

I recently bought an ACME headpiece but Im looking to get rid of it due to picking up one of the Cinema Replicas headpieces (#01/10) which I personally prefere. eegha, If you want a basically brand new ACME headpiece at £40 delivered (within the UK) drop me a line!!

Personally, I would go with the Magnolia's piece. It is brass as noted in the movie and is made to stricter detailing. The only thing is you may have to wait for it to be made. Sometimes he gets them out quickly, other times... But I believe they are truly the best ones out there.

Uh.. it was bronze in the movie.

Didn't look like bronze, though... definitely shiny like gold.

Yes, unfortunately, Indy Magnoli received a C&D last year, and he can't sell any Indy items anymore...

Here is moviepropcollector's headpiece that you are referring to:

I'd still say go for an Acme - it's screen accurate and it sure is pretty (gold plated) - ergo worth the extra investment.

I wish AcmeMAGICO (not to be confused with AcmeArtifacts) would start selling his headpieces again. His were hands down, the best. Last I heard he was off to Iraq at the beginning of the war, but I've never seen him since. His items on the secondary market sell for very high prices and here's why. Just look at the level of detail in every feather. Most headpieces are lacking this level of detail. It is 24kt gold plated, has a clear swarovski crystal (no mirror backs) and doesn't have that fake sheen or lack of true gold hue that so many headpieces have. The only thing wrong with it as well as a few others out there is the section of the side of the head which is smaller than it should be. Also, there are a couple of raised areas on the outer edge of the piece which needed some flattening, but those are not very noticeable unless you're someone like me who looks for things like that.

Still, if I didn't have this the AcmeArtifacts would be my first choice.
