OOD mask sculpt, finished mask pics added

Well i was recently asked to sculpt a wearable adult sized ood mask, i had sculpted a kid sized one for my son a while ago, which he liked, so that was good practice for this new sculpt

Its still pretty rough, sculpted in WED clay, it will have light up eyes and an orb once its done
here it is next to a blank of my sons mask

Should the eyes not both be at the same slant angle and height though?

I'll check tomorrow, i think it may be how i'm taking the pic, bit cramped in the shed so i'm breaking the cardinal six foot away rule

Well its done as far as the sculpt is concerned, casting it tomorrow

Your already mostly done but I thought I'd help you, I recently went to a Dr Who exhibition in Cardiff and one of the exhibits there was the various stages of a development of an Ood, from sculpt, to mould to cast to finish and I'll post them here if you'd like? Sorry for the quality, the lighting was crap and it was taken on my iPhone camera!

Well i got the first one out, and i'm basically done with the paintjob, working on the eyes and tentacles now, hoping to have it done over the weekend

painted with a pax base and fw acrylics over that

That's so good it's going to give me nightmares. Damn, those Ood are creepy!

it does have a lovecraft feel to it, allways thought it was a great design
doing a run in the junkyard if anyone wants one
