One ring question

Hey guys. I was looking around at prop replicas of the one ring. Discovered the Jens Hansen one. Is this the best out there or have others produced any better? Anyone have a picture of it on a finger to show size? I heard it is heavy.

That's the company that made the originals, hard to imagine doing better.

But the ring is an interesting thing, the different versions used in the movie have slightly different proportions from each other, so you have to think about which scene you want to emulate. Then if you order one from JH you might tell them as it may make some difference in how they approach it.

I can't see you doing better than the folks who made them, agreed. I have a sterling Hansen One Ring as my wedding band, and I love it. Heavy little sucker. I imagine wearing the gold one is like hanging a six pack off your finger.

Was looking at the 14 ct gold for the wedding band for myself so definately interested in finding out how it feels on the finger. I think I will buy it sooner rather than later as the new zeland dollar is gaining some strength

If you're like me, it'll take you awhile to get used to wearing it--it's a thick, heavy ring, and it was several weeks before I stopped noticing it was on my hand. But everyone I've shown it to, even not knowing it was from LOTR, has commented on the quality. It's just a really nice ring.

I bought the sterling silver ring and had them gold plate it for me. It looks great in my collection.

I bought a one ring that came with a plastic light up base at Toy Fair years and years ago that I've always loved. It came with a necklace chain and everything, I usually keep it hung up on my wall. I have skinny girl fingers so it won't fit me. :C At the show I paid for their floor model for like ten bucks but I think the store price was around twenty? You probably are looking for something fancier though, this was just for show (and good for cosplay IMO) but I might be able to find it online for you if it's your speed.

I have the gold-plated sterling silver version from The Noble Collection.

It's ok, but I'd rather have a JH.

It is for sale if you want it!

I also have a sterling silver One Ring that I had gold plated, plus the sterling silver chain. They're on display in my theater, I'll take pics tonight. I'm very pleased with it, however, it's for display only - I ordered the ring in the size that it is when Frodo wears it on the chain. Waaaaaay to large a size for me to wear.

can you still take a picture of your finger wearing it just to get the width down on an average finger? Thanks
