one of the very first movie correct Stormtrooper replicas. UPDATE 08-12-10

In 1997/99 I had the opportunity to make a bigger Stormtrooper project.
Together with four friends I worked on them and made around 20 Troopers that were given to all who had been involved in that project for their help. The base have been an ESB armour and a ROTJ armour. I have finished several trooper armours for my friends and me, that can be worn and are displayed on poseable stand up figures, I built.
Well it´s 12 years ago from now, but it seems like yesterday. Thank you pals for your help, I´m so proud on what we have done in a very short time. I love Stormtroopers from the day I saw and touched the real ROTJ ones in the Museum Of Moving Image 1989 in London. I like to share some pictures with you. Maybe some more, later. I have a whole bunch of them.

Hi Fulcrum. Thank you. I´m glad you like them:love
Unfortunately not. It belongs to the animatronic company I´m working for.

Hey Joe,Nice armor. Can you give any history of the armor it was cast from? What parts are ESB & what are ROTJ?Do you have any good pictures of the right forearm? It looks like it's the same as the left like a TE.I always hope when I see new armor it will have the original ANH/ESB right forearm.

Hi Dave! Thank you!!! Sure I can: It was an original 95 tour suit (ROTJ) and a fiberglass Oakley armour that I wanted to have in styrene. It has been two complete armours, except of belt, right knee part, shoulder stripes from the ROTJ and left and right knee parts, hand protector and shoulder stripes from the ESB. I had to sculpt these parts. They came with a complete set of forearms, but can´t say if they had been both the same. I guess, yes.

BTW, I´m still looking for three correct leather/pleather shoulder stripes like the ROTJ troopers had.

You´re welcome:cheers

Yes it really is. And it was a really cool time. During we were working on these, we have seen Episode 1 for the first time. We all lived together in my flat for some weeks and were working hard on the troopers from morning till evening. Have still 5 or 6 unfinished troopers from back then stored in boxes in my cellar. Maybe sometimes I finish them and then let them guard my whole house or workshop in the future.

Hi Dave I have these that show the right forearm on both versions.

I will make a close-up pic of the ROTJ trooper today.

Sorry, I work in the FX industry and we refer to the pieces placed on the vacuu form machine as bucks.
Do you still have the cast pieces to put on the machine/ can you still make more of these suits?

I do have the bucks, but am not planning to make another pull.

Here are some more photos that show them:

I have a helmet from these molds...looks great. Although it could need a new pair of accurate lenses:)
