All I have to say is that after all these years now and with the EXTREMELY HIGH amount of marketing they are doing to promote "TRON: Legacy" they absolutely failed in one area that could have made them a lot right now...
RE-RELEASE THE FIRST FILM ON DVD AND FIRST RELEASE BLU-RAY EDITION.
Seriously right now for anyone that doesn't own it this is one of the hardest movies to even come by right now and you would THINK with the generation gap of people who haven't seen the first film would be very curious to see it before "Legacy".
Are they planning some super big ultimate edition with new visuals to the original TRON? Does anyone know why they totally missed even putting this back out in stores?
Sorry, but I think Disney's failure to do this missed out on a lot of money they could have made making it available again to everyone. It's not on-demand on TV, you can't watch it on Netflix, there's not even a projected date when it will be available on physical disc Netflix....
Thankfully one of my co-workers brought me his 20th anniversary edition to borrow this weekend. It's been years since I've seen it and do enjoy this movie a lot. I wasn't willing to pay $80-$150+ on Ebay for it.
Okay that's my rant. To Disney, in the words of Seth Meyers..... "REALLY???!!?!?!!"
