Once Upon a Time "heart replica"

I plan to try making one of the hearts that Regina and Cora from "once upon a time" is collecting.

I've been looking for screen captures for a while and it is very difficult to find any good pictures of the hearts, but I managed to find one and it looks like that the heart is transparent with a red core.

I think I'll make the heart of resin but I'm not quite sure how I will manage getting the red color inside, any ideas? :confused

check out the episode about doctor whale / frankenstein from season 2. i recall them having a few close ups of the picture. they look like to be plastic cases with a thin red cloth inside and a light that pulses.

I am working on one of these as well, but can't figure out what to do for the light inside. I know they make flashing mini LED lights, but I don't know if they make ones that pulsate slower. It doesn't have to be a perfect heartbeat rhythm (although that would be even better) but I don't want it to flash like a strobe light, either, haha! I am going to initially try making it out of silicone...we'll see how sturdy it ends up. If I don't like it then I'll try one out of Resin. I'll keep you updated if I make any progress!

I found a cheap life size foam heart on ebay, which I used as model to create the rubber mold.
