OMG... Fallout 3's A3-21 Plasma Rifle

Fallout megafan Ryan Palser has made a fantastic replica of the Fallout 3's A3-21 Plasma Rifle. The attention to detail is splendid, and we hope he makes more. Ryan, if you're reading—Brotherhood of Steel helmet next, please!

Ryan has indulged us with a Flickr gallery chronicling the rifle's construction, and it's highly impressive how much hard work went into this one object.

We have a feeling it took quite a bit of time, but I'd be surprised if there aren't a significant number of Fallout fans who wouldn't pay for one of these to brighten up their vault.

That's awesome!!! I'm still surprised no company has tried to do replicas from the game. I think WETA would do it really well because they fit with the ray guns they are doing now.

I kno this is an Old thread, but the gun is still so bad ass. Ive been searching through threads getting ideas for my gun build. Im getting a little tired of building proton packs and I need something new!

my version.. includes bigger heat syncs on the clear tube and includes the weaponized version of the original plasma casters electromagnetic stabilization vanes. Think of it as the original prototype for the plasma rifle!

you can see the step by step progress... the build is probably 50% done..
