so what is it? Closest I've found so far would be the gear to a roll down photo backdrop, the inside gear on a film projector, and the gears inside a multi output pond pump..but still searching

No its that white plastic/nylon most gears are made of painted grey

Which makes me pretty sure its not part of a model kit but rather buried inside of something..but what?!?
