Official Ghostbusters PKE Meter Prop

Any reason, in particular, why they are using UPS? USPS is faster, cheaper and works on Saturdays at no extra cost. I have patience, but USPS gets my stuff delivered in 3 days, as opposed to a week, like UPS.

As someone else said, it's almost certainly cheaper for them to use UPS as all the private carriers have sliding scales that offer huge discounts, the more you ship the less you pay... Unlike the USPS that charges a flat rate with not discounts to speak of...

And and FYI the discounts can be HUGE! It's not uncommon for say a large volume fullfillment company like this to get a 60-80% discount over published rates... That is why places like Amazon can offer free shipping and not inflate product cost...

Basically the real PKE body was plastic, so feeling toy-like may not be that bad of a thing

I really won't weigh in too much until I handle it but the real Iona's are vintage and use a vintage plastic that has a unique kinda feel vs newer plastics... But just the same and I have said this from the start it's a toy not a high quality 1:1 replica prop, for $60 IMO it's worth every penny and is a damn nice looking toy... My biggest eye sore so far is the wings, they are just not right from the pictures I have seen...

And I got my shipping confirmation late last night, due for the 23rd, nothing like sneaking it in right before X-mas...

I'm in alabama and i got my notice on the 16th and it said the 21st but it got here today Wooo Hooo this thing friggin rocks!

I got my box 'o PKE's this morning at 8:30 right as I was walking out the door to work, so now I have to wait the next 10 hours before I can get home and open them up!

mine will be here tomorrow. I want to do some upgrades, repaint, etc, but theres a part of me thats hoping they end up using these in GB3 so they instantly become accurate :p

I'm in Chicago, got my confirmation on the 15th with a delivery date of tomorrow but I got both of my PKE's today. Awesomeness.

Does it come with batts. If not what kind does it use so I can have some on hand when mine arrives tomorrow. Cant wait...

Wasn't it during the 90's when they started saying "batteries not included" or was it the 80's?

I think it must have been in the 80's, Thats when that movie came out anyway. Always wanted those little guys from the movie. Ahh but that would be another thread. Looking forward to the PKE tomorrow.

Got mine today. Has a very nice weight to it so it does not feel like a toy. They even make a comment in the manual that it's not a shoe polisher. Nice touch. :lol It comes with a bunch of plain black 1in strip stickers, anyone know what those are for? Manual doesn't say.
