It's only a matter of time...

Who might pick up the licence and what can we expect to see?

From the official site, I see there is a toy line already in production.

I was confused seeing the toys out so early before the movie. I walked by in the store and went.... wait am I supposed to know who these people are? But hey I'll have to take another look at them once I see the movie.

Ident tags appeared to have a flashy LED, never really got to see them. Might be a cool piece either way.

Found a picture of one of the "i-Tags", not sure of the accuracy or if it's not just a promo item.

Looks like it has the makings of a cool prop - funny how these don't feature in the film at all, or perhaps just briefly.

I went to see it last night. In the opening scenes, there's a huge spaceship that they use to go to Pandora. My first thought was, "OMG, I hope someone on the RPF tackles that, but it's going to be really hard." Lots of curves, intricate detail, and just huge in scale.

The robot walkers are going to be a natural thing to build up too. The guns didn't really grab me--not like the iconic guns of Aliens, for example.

The Noble Collection has some Na'vi stuff:

At least for me much more interesting is the AMP maquette from Sideshow (just don't look at the price tag or your eyes will start bleeding):

I'm a bit surprised that nothing is available at the moment and the stuff above is all that has been announced so far.

I liked a lot of the military stuff (some of the guns, the helmets, clothing etc.) but guess we won't see any of these as licensed replicas, since no particular prop from this area is being shown all that prominent in the movie (except for Quaritch's gun, but personally I'm not much of a fan of that design).

The N'avi daggers from Noble look awesome - and VERY reasonably priced for 1:1 scale replicas! I'm going to be getting one of each - maybe I should ask them if they plan on offering all of them as a set with one stand - I won't have room for all of them individually.

Are they truly going to be 1:1 scale? Remember that the N'avi are around 10ft tall and that dagger Jake had was huge compared to a Human

Well - it's a dagger and it's 19" long (daggers dont usually get so big :) ). And Jake's didn't look gigantic in his hand (Quarich's knife was HUGE by comparison) - so yeah - that might be right.

I like the Neytiri dagger. May have to check the couch cushions for cake...

When jake tried to stab him at the end he picked up the dagger and it like a damn sword, so I do hope they do make them big, other than that sideshow has a maquette coming out, proto pics look awesome and hot toys has the liscence for the figures, and I cant wait to see what they come out with!!!

The knife Quaritch uses at the end is seen close to the start of the film, when he has just got into the suit, it is in a scabbard on the lower left side of the torso. Jake uses the barrel and bayonet from the broken rifle/cannon in the fight there.
