OK, which one of you is responsible?

Imported from the UK! When the Doctor was in a jam, he turned to his trusty Sonic Screwdriver. Now, you can also turn to the Sonic Screwdriver with this fully-licenced, 1-to-1 scale replica of the original studio prop used by Tom Baker, the Fourth Doctor! Reproduced in tuned aluminum, the Classic Doctor Who: Sonic Screwdriver Replica features a spring loaded body to simulate the authentic movement of the original prop. Comes complete in a deluxe presentation case with an etched brass plaque.

Shipping 3rd quarter 2008.

Thanks guys!

For what that cost I thought it would look better, If you look on the site they are different!!!

Russ

Hands down Russ, your blows this away! I don't think he got an accurate set of dims before he hit the lathe. Either that or he bought one of the many versions out there and extrapolated...

I just figured out what he did. That looks almost dead on the the Thortheking version that came out as a run on the Trek Prop Zone a couple years back. I could point out all the flaws, but bandwith limits....:lol

If you look on here http://www.iconicreplicas.com/ its different to the one on here

Russ

Interesting that the replica in that link looks painted rather than raw metal. I wonder if it is still a pre-production version rather than the final product. Very happy with my Russ version :) although I must confess I rather like their display stand.

Cheerio,

Dave

Yeah your right, it does say Reproduced in turned aluminium ! but looks like it has be painted or some thing, I would say thats the finished prop no pointshowingit on the site.
I also emailed the owner of that site he told me there being made in China!

Russ

Are you sure? its hard to tell from product images

Positive, I'm holding one in my hands right now that was dimmed out perfectly to the screen used piece. It's our Doctor's from our film. The only difference to Russ's sonic is the halo is not held to the bullet with allen screws, but rather rods. And the halo extends.

Well I am not super duper familiar with the classic sonics aside from look...whats off dimentionally on this one?

Enlighten me :)

The RussRep model is amazing. If you are trying to decide on a Sonic Screw driver I would highly recommend his. His costs way less than the one on that website (well it did when I got mine) and is great. :)

Thanks mate! :) I was gonna offer a very small run in the next month or so! Only for RPF members! :)

Thanks
Russ

Take a look at this link. The pics are of the one that we're using in our film. It is the same dims as Russ's. The only difference is the halo is not held on with allen screws drilled through the halo into the bullet, it uses rods instead. The halo/head extends as well. Picture four is next to a "Thoretheking" version from the TPZ, which I believe is the inspiration for this replica for sale.
